Attack of the Nagabots Film

After gruelling months and days I finally finished my Nagabot animation! HORRAY!


Due to an error of me, submitting the film, it on quicktime mode, thankfully last night I uploaded on YOUTUBE.
Have a look, tell me what you think. But comment here instead of there, if you want. I got this idea from my buddy




Programs used:

Cinema 4D, for the building. And for the little animation.

Illustrator, for the Nagabot and UFO

After Effects, to take the blue screen out from my friend Julie's teenage son. Also, to add some effects and to put Joal, nagabot, and building together. Aswell as the transport and fireball.

Motion, to add the transport and fireball effect.

Live Type, for the typography effect.

Final Cut Pro, to edit everything into place



This is for Advanced Movie Editing, for Nigel's class at Campbelltown TAFE, in which we have to create a 15-20 sec ad, using live action and animation.

This was my first ever bluescreen project, I never thought I would finish it on time.

It's kinda crappy because it was my first blue screen creation, and you can still see the blue bits though

The music used was from The Beastie Boys with their song Intergalatic.

And the sound effects was found from various sound effects websites, one of them was sounddogs.com.

I was inspired by Nu Steppa by Samonella Dub because of their use of 2d animation, blending in the 3D background. So I thought I'll give it a shot It looks crappy but I'm suprised it turns out so well Like I said before, pratice makes perfect. This is the first step to better things, if I pratice after effects that is .

Anyway if I get a job that does not do these or illustrations, what the hell. It doesn't stop me from creating my own projects and such ^^

Oh yeah, the person starring in this 33 sec ad was my friend Julie's teenage son Joal (can't spell) She drove him from school, to TAFE to use the bluescreen for her 20 sec ad, so I thought, instead of me starring in it, I'll let him star in it He's a natural. Considering I already star in one of my friend's 20 second ad, I look shit
